It was held in Glasgow (Scotland) on 25 and 26 July.
HARVEST Atlantic project, which was aprobed for the Interreg IV-B Atlantic Area Programme, has as target to indetify and exchance good practices and sustainable solutions based in the innovation, diversification and marketing for the maritime economy and resources in order to improve the socioeconomic position of Atlantic coastal regions across transnational cooperation.
Beside the project leader MMS, are involved University of Cantabria (Spain), South West Regional Authority (Ireland), Cork Institute of Technology (Ireland), Glasgow Caledonian University (United Kingdom) and University of Algarve (Portugal).
During the workshop at the headquarters of Glasgow Caledonian University (Glasgow) it were reviewed the progress in relation to project activities related to the assessment of human capital and knowledge to implement innovation processes: the identification and adoption of policies and actions to support the innovation, diversification and marketing of Atlantic maritime economy or the creation of AT-OME, the Atlantic Centre of Maritime Economy. In addition it were reviewed aspects of technical and financial management of the project, as well as communication and dissemination activities.
Al igual que en reuniones anteriores, también se realizaron visitas de estudio guiadas a las instalaciones de la Universidad de Glasgow, el Falkirk Wheel (Rueda de Falkirk, se trata de una esclusa giratoria que funciona como un ascensor para buques y conecta el canal Forth y Clyde con el canal Unión) y la sección marítima del Museo Riverside.
